My parents are/were Howard and Katie Paullin. RT Paullin was my grandfather. When the church was started in Mt. Pleasant I was approx 5 years old. I am now almost 65 and remember those Sundays in the IOOF Hall and building the first small church building on Brown St. I remember how we stripped the old donated pews with toxic paint remover. I remember those visiting preachers who came every Sunday and how my mother cooked lunch for them every week. She also wrote the bulletin for years very week (before the days of photocopiers) and prepared the communion every Sunday as well. She washed and I dried those little glass cups. She will be 87 years old in Novemember, in excellent physical health but with severe dementia. My dad, Howard (Stub) passed away about 30 years ago. I wish mom could understand and appreciate your new website and the mention of how your congregation got its start. It is a blessing that one of my daughters found your site. God bless you and the work you are doing.
